Stitching Garment with Pride (The Perfect Picture of a Seamstress)

I am sure you have already seen this seamstress on the internet (other than on this page). She is among the most published sewing operators (images) on the Internet. I have come across this operator's image in many news websites and trade journals, in Apparel solution providers websites, in apparel and fashion blogs. No doubt the quality of this image, and the workplace is great. This single picture shows that garment makers can also set-up a factory, like an office space found in an IT company.

The background of the image, equipment quality and cleanliness, the person standing behind her and doing some work arrangement, all together, it gives an image of the quality of the workplace. You can see the operator is working in a workstation where garments are transported using an automated overhead rail. And the lifestyle of the shop floor employees in the apparel manufacturing.

I was sure this picture was taken by a professional photographer.

Being an apparel industry professional, I liked to give credit to the photographer and wanted to inform the photographer for capturing such a quality photo. This image is really shows sewing operators can work in a garment factory with pride and feel happy like a model. Many photos of this operator are available in iStockphoto by Kzenon (from Sofia, Bulgaria).

I Googled the image to find the original publisher and found 1000+ websites have published (used) this image (an image search was done on November 12, 2019). This seamstress (picture) is so much popular. Some websites have given credit to another website for reusing this image - but not given credit to the original website. They might have purchased this photo from the stock-photos site or may not be.

Do you know in which country this seamstress belong to and the company name where she is working? Do you know her name? To know the answer to this question, I find the photographer and contacted him. He has posted this and other photos of this seamstress on the stock photo websites (Multiple stock-photo websites).

From the photographer, I came to know she (the seamstress) is of Chinese ethnicity and she is living in Indonesia (when the photo was captured). She is, however, a model. One question is remaining - whether she is an operator or a model posing for a photo shoot. I did not get the answer.

Following are a few URLs where her image can be found (Only a few):
Just-Style.com, Apparelmag.com, IDBS software, Fibre2Fashion, Apparel Resources,  Bureau Veritas, SewEasy, Excellentiaa, Indiamart, Sruthifashion, Intrepidsourcing, Eclat, Cutandsew-Vietnam, Sage Software, and more.

I have written this post to share two views - showing you the quality of the workplace of a garment unit and connecting the world with the garment manufacturing industry through one single image. The photographer correctly said - making the world a little bit more perfect.

(Note: I purchased this photo from www.istockphoto.com to share it and republish it in this blog.)
