Manoj Tiwari

Dr. Manoj Tiwari holds a Professor position at the Department of Fashion Technology, National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi. Prof. Tiwari is currently heading the Industry & Alumni Affairs at NIFT. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Textile Technology in 2003 before going on to get a Master of Fashion Technology in 2006 and a Ph.D. from NIFT, Delhi. He also completed the AMA, Ahmedabad's 2010 Diploma in LEAN Management programme. In addition to teaching, industrial training, research and development, and consulting in India and overseas, he has more than 20 years of professional and academic experience. In addition to expertise directing an international project involving capacity building and consulting in manufacturing and production management, he has contributed to many consulting and skill development projects. In conferences and journals, he has presented and published more than 70 research papers and articles. Together with Prof. Prabir Jana of NIFT Delhi, he co-authored and co-edited the books "Industrial Engineering in Apparel Manufacturing: Practitioner's Handbook" (ISBN: 9788193247204) and "Lean Tools in Apparel Manufacturing" (ISBN: 9780128194270). Additionally, he has served as a Core Team member for the acclaimed INDIAsize project (The National Sizing Survey of India). Industrial engineering, lean manufacturing, ergonomics, sizing, anthropometry, apparel technology management, and industry 4.0 in the apparel manufacturing industry are some of his main research interests.
