How to Calculate Performance Rating?

Question: How to calculate performance rating? Actually, I’m not clear about this. Please tell me in detail.

The performance rating is not calculated by any means.

Instead, through observation of an operator’s working speed and body movement, the time study practitioner rate an operator. And the rating is done against normal working speed. Each observer has a conception of the normal speed (100% rating) of doing a job. Comparing to that he/she needs to rate the operator.

Rating an operator is subjective. If three engineers do rating one operator at the same time for performing the same operation, the rating given to the operator may very. Engineers need to practice a lot on rating and understanding the 100% rated operator.
